Tuffy was designed and built by Sam Devlin (of Olympia, WA). Sam has been designing and building wood boats for decades (perfecting the “Stitch and Glue” technique. Incredibly strong, if taken care of they seemingly last forever. She is in his Black Crown design line, a Black Crown 25. Basically they’re all one offs though. She was built in 1988, has done the passage I think four times now and I hope to find a “next” owner to take her up again! Cheers, John
