You almost lost me with the CNC comment, but as I scrolled down, I appreciated your sense of humor! Hahaha. Really a nice job! And the epoxy/varnish is sure faster that nine coats of varnish. This real looks nice, thanks for sharing. John

Small binder clips work well as keepers when clipped on the fins of the pot grate.

I wondered about the angled board and was tickled to see it's use in the slot. Great idea, loved all the photos.....I'm old and....no, played that card already. May have to come up with a new card. Photos just made everything clear in what is effectively a bit complex project. I enjoyed your project. Thanks for sharing!!

A 2 hour project? I wish I was as fast. But a really good project. When I first saw it I was concerned about how you would get out of the cabin in a hurry but as you are only using it on a mooring or at a pontoon I couldn’t think of a likely escape scenario! Version 2 might include a tray that the cooker could fit in so that you could more easily get at the controls if cooking from the cockpit. Isn’t it always the way though, some clever clogs (me) is suggesting a change and they haven’t even built version 1 yet!

This box is limited in utility compared to the clever designs I've seen here and elsewhere. In the ten years since I built it, however, no improvements have occurred to me. It gets used more underway as a secure tray for iPhones, snacks, and drinks than for cooking at anchor.
