Like a lot of people, I am somewhat resistant to change, so I was initially quite disappointed when I learned that the print version of SCA was no more. But, I understand why this had to happen and I have to say I do enjoy this new on line version coming to my inbox almost daily. While I still miss the print version I think that this on line version is actually better in so many ways. I like that it is more interactive, too. Please keep it coming. As my British friends say, "proper job."
I, too, miss the paper magazine, and the digital magazine, as well, that I'd switched to in recent years, but I do value the more interactive nature of this medium, and the more nearly constant "drip feed" of the kind of small boat oriented information that I love so much!
I've very much appreciated Small Craft Advisor "the" Magazine over the years and today, very much value the digitasl SCA! It continues connect and inform a community of like minded folks! Thank you Josh and all!!! BestRoy
Josh...Congratulations on your new "Celebrity Status"......I'll get tar & feathers all heated up for the celebration!!!....seriously..Great job by you, Marty & the Crew @ SCA...Regards, Dan...PS...I'm signed up thru 2025!!
I paid for two years for the print version. Wouldn't that roll over to your on line issues?
I found the last print version under a stack of magazines and had not read all of it, so I most enjoyed reading every last page and photograph. I guess I missed the notice about it being the last issue.
Substack is a great platform but my days of reading the print version of SCA in a comfy chair at the beach (with no worries of battery drain) are over. I spend a lot of time on a computer at work so I'm not looking forward to any more screen time.
I have the umbrella and the battery for recharging the tablet. The battery and the tablet is another couple pounds I don't want to tote to the beach when the print version only weighs a few ounces.

Hi Ted Yes, any paid subscription should be transferred over. I will fix it for you.
Does this mean you are going to raise your subscription price?
I miss the print too

Get yourself an umbrella, a nice little tablet, and a battery you can use to recharge it without leaving the beach! 🙂👍
