A great looking boat and a very practical one for its intended purpose. Kees really is a master craftsman. I’m sure we are all looking forward to more photos and as much information as you care to share. In the meantime, Happy Cruising!
Beautiful boat, wonderful concept. I am a big proponent of electric powered boat, not particularly trying to save the earth concept, but as a user. I am a 71 year old sailor that built an electric pod drive sailboat. No cords to pull, no diesel smell, no slepping gas cans. I quickly have gotten over “range anxiety “. I bet some source of bow control will be appreciated in a cross wind (bow thruster). Beautiful boat, great concept and as I mentioned in a earlier comment, this boat will provide lots more time and pleasure on the water!
It was one of my favourite boats at the Festival this year. I enjoyed the tour. The interior overhead grab handles are a brilliant and thoughtful detail from Sam. So impressed.
The helm is a gem but cracks me up at the same time.
Is my math right equaling to an 8hp motor? I'm trying to imagine speed through a one foot chop? Just looking through the intieror photos "only", one might think you are in a 32 foot Trawler of sorts. I don't think anyone can do a finer job than what I'm seeing, but I'm not an expert on these type boats (well not an expert on any...) - CONGRATS congrats!
Tohatsu and Torqeedo rate their 6kW outboards as equivalent to 9.9 hp gas outboards. I expect that ePropulsion might do the same. That estimate might be a bit conservative since the 1 kW electrics are usually sold as equivalent to 3 hp gas outboards.
An incredible boat. Just reading about it from dream to reality made me smile. My 30-foot sloop is for sale and I thought that maybe age had brought an end to my boating activities. Now I’m not so sure. Thanks for keeping the dream alive!
You’ve shaped another gem whose facets will add to the waters’ surface sparkle. Congratulations one and all.
" So this time we might, just might, have found a cure for our Next-Boat addiction."
Yeah, sure ;-)
Well maybe yes, maybe no. I thought Questing Beast was the last but it would be nice to do one more simpler boat if the fates allow it.
In the meantime, enjoy what you have !! Looks very well conceived and executed. Kudos

The only cures for GHAB are death or incarceration. On second thought, incarceration does not cure, it simply makes things unattainable.
Good lookin' boat.

Wonderful project and fantastic execution. However, I would not call it a “Shanty Boat”.
Great article, Chelcie, and I really enjoyed following the series! I'm looking forward to future articles as you cruise your new hideaway! WR/Pete
Indeed stunning job all around.

Another dream floats free, clean wake and looks like it will carry your supplies and gear with ease! Congratulations!

A beautiful boat! What is her towing weight? When will a kit be available? Thanks
