Hey, thanks for the comments, everyone. I still have hopes for the full circumnavigation, stopping off at lots of little Door County towns. Breakfast at Al Johnson's? A show at Peninsula Players? Lots of cool, less-civilized little harbors on the east side, too.

Nice article and great small boat sailing area. I can be dangerous with currents and weather changes. I suggest a trip further south and in Green Bay (the bay, not the city). Egg Harbor, then north to Sister

Bay, WI. Lots of islands, villages and scenery.

I always enjoy Tom's writing and loved the boathouse! The Limestone shores are similar to our Georgian Bay's West shores so reading this and Google Maping Tom's passage was great fun! I could picture the Limestone blocks under the clear water! Hard to tell the depths as the water is so clear! My buddy once jumped off the back of my boat when nosed up to shore and, expecting thight deap water, he was shocked to find the depth over his head! Lol! Thanks for the glimps into a new area Tom, and Small Craft Advisor Magazine!!! All the best Roy
