Thanks, Pete. The video of Fort Popham that I never got to explore was great...the Maine Maritime Museum and Bath Boatworks won the toss. Got to get back there someday soon.
I’m glad you liked the video, Jerry. It was truly a wonderful little trip with my Escargot and 6 hp outboard. Tides and currents can be a bit tricky. I wanted to get a closer look at the Bath shipyard but as we were launching, a security guy said we should not try to get too close, so we didn’t argue and headed downstream!!!
Thanks T.J. It was a great little trip and I completely agree with you about her larger sister for extended outings! Can’t beat the 8 inch draft though!
Thank you, Pete. Great suggestion to get more video of the interior and construction process. I’ll see what I can do for the future but my son does the videography and he has way too much fun filming with his drone. Not sure he’d be able to fly it inside the boat! Haha!
Thanks, Andy. It was a great little trip. Tides and river currents can be challenging for a small boat making it necessary for us to pay close attention to the tide charts.
Thanks, Dan! That was our first trip to the Kennebec, but hopefully not the last. Loved every minute of it: the tides, river currents, even the fog and drizzle, but especially the lighthouses!

A delightful little houseboat. I think I would prefer her larger sister for extended outings. Fantastic video.

Lovely video, and a beautiful tribute to boat and builder! Can we get a video tour of the boat and, perhaps, her construction?

Hey...... those are my home waters! Haven’t seen Escargot cruising the area. Nice boat!
