That's a lot of frames for a little plywood boat. And they don't seem to be as effective as they could be. A plank built version would need this many frames simply to act as cleats to hold the plank edges together. Since they were needed then anyway, giving them knees at their bottoms made sense.
However, this many frames on your boat will do no harm other than add a little bit of extra weight pluss the added labor in making them.
