David Palmer sent this note on his nifty motor mount: I put a small motor mount on my Blue Jay. A motor is rarely if ever needed when launching from a beach, but I typically launch from a narrow 1/4 mile inlet that gets crowded at times making tacking against the wind a challenge. It saved me a couple of times.
Speaking of motors, Matthew Ruhlen found another great use for a ubiquitous item : I use a walker for an outboard motor stand. VERY stable for storage, easy to work on the motor, and very inexpensive.
