We asked for photos and you delivered
Following are some of the reader photos we received—Eds
Here are two photos from David Wallace:
Richard Hocker send this photo of his SCAMP under construction—getting close now!
For those needing a serious fix of small boats in action, our friend Sean Mulligan reminded us of this fun video:
Here’s a nice Sun Cat shot from reader Mark Bertacchi:
Here’s an image of SCAMP #330 bucking along in Tomales Bay twice reefed. Photo from Daniel Rich:
Reader Christian Oliver writes: I was lucky enough to attend the Cedar Key Small Boat Meet in 2019 and enjoy the island before hurricane Helene with my Michalak Piccup Pram. I can confirm that the design works as intended. I did not need a trailer she was transported in the bed of my pickup truck and wheeled around on a kayak dolly. With a hitch extension you can tow a small teardrop trailer as well. This was a fun setup!
Our friend Jim Tolpin writes: Well I love this photo that Marty Loken took of my wife and I motoring through Obstruction Pass in the San Juans in our 18-foot Poulsbo boat (which was rebuilt by the boat school in 2018 or so).
Reader Wayne Conklin says he’s almost finished with his Roy Schreyer-designed Osprey.

Check out this gorgeous image from James Thomas:
Reader John Evans sends this lovely photo of the small-boat cruising lifestyle: Nutmeg a wooden Wayfarer dinghy, off of James Island in Washington’s San Juans.
Checkout this shot of JF Bedard’s RoG design by Stephen Buckingham. I told you we got some good photos this round!
Here’s a sweet shot of the Melonseed from her longtime production builder, Roger Crawford:
Thank you to contributor Sally Gadow for these two fantastic shots—a colorful kelp closeup, and a view into the small-boat cruising life aboard a 24-foot Pacific Seacraft.
Doug Dabney sends this photo of his Cape Dory Typhoon racing along in a 20-knot breeze.
I’ve been daydreaming about sailing in Poland, and Maciek Szymański’s photo below only makes me want to visit more. He writes:
Josh! I’m sending you a photo from our three day trip up the Narew river this spring. We sailed (on sails) with my wife on our Corvus Cornix, the 17 ft Klepper FAM from Zegrze lake near Warsaw and back. The photo was taken at the furthest point of our trip. The analog photo was taken on the B&W slide Fomapan R100.
Reader Peter Bachman sends this image of his Caledonia Yawl sailing Muscongus Bay this past summer….
Reader Norm Neiderer writes: Picture of my Drascombe Lugger Eloise. I was originally a yawl, but now that I’ve added a Yankee (in the US) or flying Jib (in the UK), it has become a Smack.
Don Dill sent these fun images of: A 5-day trip for me and my daughter across Casco Bay Maine in “the boat that dad built”
Reader Doyle sends this photo of his sailing his “2-hole Klepper” on Lake Sebago in Maine.
Reader Dave Palmer offers up a spectacular image of his Mariner 19 on the Hudson River off of Nyack, NY. He writes: That’s my last boat. I’ve since moved on to an even smaller craft—a Blue Jay—and sail mostly on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY.
Lots more good images to share tomorrow! —Eds

I could look at photo blasts every day!
Love these - especially tan bark sails and a meal with one’s dog. 😀
