Small Craft Life 5
More of your photos...
From John Hartmann: Duck punting on Dead Creek, Vt
From Paul Stovner: Roger Nelson’s Houdini Magic on the shore of Lake Havasu, Arizona.
From Tom Graham: CLC Pocketship Tortuga at Upper Priest Lake Idaho
From Jeff Dere: A Com-Pac Sun Cat and a San Juan 21 enjoy Copper Canyon and 80 degree weather on Lake Havasu, Arizona, 2/10/26.
From Kyle Reed: My sons and I sailing the lower Columbia River. One son is at the helm and the other took the photo. I’m checking the sails and trying to stay covered from the sun.
From Roger Crawford: I always enjoy the photos I see in Small Craft Life. Here’s one of my favorite photos of the Melonseed for you. This is a photo of my Melonseed Skiff tethered to the shore awaiting my return with truck and trailer to haul her out after a fine day of sailing out of Northeast Harbor, Maine. The beautiful late afternoon light was reflecting on her symphony of curves.
From John Troyer: This is my Crawford swampscott dory. Getting ready to do some laps in Kahului harbor, Maui! Can’t wait to get the Scamp built so she has a friend to rip around with!
From Geoffrey Ferrell: CLC Eastport Pram @ Rhode River, North anchorage.
From Eric Light: This is Jim Michalak's Mixer2 design that I built in John Booth's shop in Victoria, B.C. and sailed out of Cadboro Bay Sailing Club. John showed me how to make a mold for the fore hatch. I called her Lively, as she was certainly that, and fun to sail. I eventually got the wrinkles out of the Polysail. She's out of my hands now, but not out of my memories.
From John Hartmann: A Sea Pearl, anchored for the night under Lucia di Lammermoor skies.
Ilur Waxwing and the Caledonia Yawl Mussels of Destiny on beaching legs, dinghy cruising in Penobscot Bay.
From Dan Nelson: An 18’ Eastporter with raised gunwales and a cabin added, on the Connecticut River in VT. The boat’s home is now Campobello Island, NB, Canada, across the bay from where it was built in the 1960s.
From Doug Smith: Lunchtime in a Welsford Pathfinder “Dark Star” at low tide in Kachemak Bay, Alaska. I didn’t get back to Alaska by water in the ‘22 R2AK, but I did by road, via North Pole.
From Nathan Lunstrum: The raised sail image is the Dark Harbor 17.5 that’s been for sale. Perhaps with the new owner?
From Roy Schreyer: Bark Lake, Ontario Canada, MiniD’s maiden voyage with my buddy Arek at the helm...
