If I were to vote on one of the boat names offered, that would be tantamount to endorsing that name. I simply cannot/will not do that. All the options presented are awful.
Captain John Vigor has a boat renaming ceremony (Name, changing of) on page104 of his excellent book "The Practical Mariner's Book of Knowledge" . The ceremony has never failed me and I have passed it on to a few friends.
I think that laying it out here might be plagiarizing John so I guess y'all will have to get your own copies.
The potential consequences of not doing it properly are too dire to ignore.
Under no circumstance never, EVER, name a boat after your wife! What, are you NUTS! Even if you yourself have sworn a holy oath that you'll love her until death do us part, it's possible that she views HER oath as more HOLEY than holy (especially if you were fool enough to be talked into writing your own wedding vows), so she may not be WHOLLY committed to the marriage. When, not if, that marriage ends badly, there is nothing for it but to scuttle the boat. Don't EVEN think about filing a claim--any inland marine insurance investigator worth his salt will smell the dead smelt (a fish) quicker than the judge will bring down his gavel and shout, "Ninety years hard labor!"
I'm up to...what?...about a dozen puns here? Enough said. Mercy.
This list of names is OhSoBAAAAD! Maybe we should have a write in contest for "worst name seen" - rules are simple - must have a photo with it (to ensure it's a bona fide name actually used on a boat!).
On boat renaming, when we bought our boat, we were told new owners can rename a boat. My mother-in-law found a Feng Shui denaming process and then renaming ceremony. Easy and good fun. Champagne included of course.

I think it would be best to "sink" all of the options available. Definitely not one worst.

Haha ---- just pretend you're talking on the phone - same way people get those shots of folks at Walmart do it!
Haha. Good advice.
Thank you

I like it. It's going to feel dirty even stopping to photograph some of these boats...
You need to add a write-in option for the poll. If there was such a section, I would write in Knotty Girl.
Put that boat in a slip next to "Nauti Bouys"
