We weren’t at all sure we’d launch, but Brandon and I had a couple of days over the holiday to attack the long list of little things that still needed to be done to the prototype.
In the past, I have used polypropylene line to lace sails to the masts of my schooner and other boats [see John Leather's books.] The principle is that, when the sail is raised, there is almost no load on the lacing and the polyprop is rather slippery.
4-1 or 7-1 on the sheet blocks?!! Everything looks wonderful although I wanted to see how the sail runs up the mast. Can't wait for demo videos! Man, I'm sold on her - she has a great look. Stability as well, with not much heel while sitting on one side next to the dock!
It must have been VERY exciting and quite fulfilling! Congrats to all but I have to say, this has made me MORE hungry for visual answers to my thoughts!
Very Exciting…Go Josh…Go “Old Salt”….Congratulations!!😁🥳👍

seriously, the rounded aft corners of that cockpit are dying for someone to just nod off in comfort with a hand draped over the tiller.
And the closer it gets to finished, the faster it looks. I'm not completely sold on it *just* being appealing to older sailors.
She's gorgeous as well as functional!
She's beautiful!
She looks like the water loves her!
I would be very interested to learn more about the soft shackles connecting sail to mast. A description and pictures would be very helpful.
Bruce, will try to detail that system soon.
Square headed main=one less line to handle.
Good looking boat.

Right! Similar with the dyneema.
A very nice boat with a very interesting sail-concept. Well done and all wishes ...
Congratulations on a beautiful build! I'd love to see some close-up shots of the soft shackles and the toaster slot. Brilliant work!
Excellent. Looks great in the water, loved the shot from starboard side.
Congratulations!
Sweet!!!
Looks great! Thanks for the update.
Well done guys. Wonderful to see her launched. Eager to see how she performs on all points of sail with some wind.

Rob, yeah the mainsheet system was hastily harvested from another boat. Final Old Salt mainsheet won't need as much purchase.
Love it! Congrats ⛵️
