OK, you asked for it! Well, I guess that’s not exactly true, but either way, here at last are the pairings of the Elite 8 mini-cruisers. At this point in our competition you can be sure even the boats that lose are among the best of their type ever designed.

This first rumble in Round 3 pits the Mariner against the Sea Pearl.

The sweet-sailing Mariner has been around since 1962, with more than 4,000 built. In fact Stuart Marine is still building them today.
