Reader Rick Pratt commented on our article Otto Take the Helm Until Midnight.
“A great tale. I had a similar experience while driving a 110 footer across the Gulf. We had rounded Florida and turned north as we hit the Atlantic headed for Canaveral and I was on 4AM to 8AM watch, after a two day stretch of nearly no sleep.
My night visitor was a sea serpent, as long as the boat and it nearly filled the wheelhouse. it was not inclined to do wheel time. Luckily my relief came on a bit early and the hallucination vanished overboard. Thank goodness for auto-pilot and Loran, or we might have visited Cuban waters. Sleep deprivation is a real danger at sea.”
Jonathan Watt enjoyed the crazy craft featured in our classified ads post.
“That scuba sled is a hoot! Looking forward to more zany posts.”

Congratulation to Peter Thomas on winning the free light! (using random number generator from comments).
Even though I didn't win the light I wanted to give a heads up to those of you who are on the fence regarding buying one. I purchased one for my grandson who camps and he found it easy to pack and a great light generator.
