As an ex professional diver I find the idea of a custom sub a bit scary. I don’t really see the need except for the novelty and the safety issues that come to mind don’t inspire confidence. That said, I’m certainly willing to take a look.
Looks like he read too many WW2 adventure stories. Notice that although there were a few small missions, with highly variable success, that it never really became a thing?

I'm wondering if the sub in the picture would pass a float test, let alone a dive.
It does seem to be floating, but I'm not about to dive test it. Remember the CSS Hunley?
