Reader Tom Hruby saw our blurb on the Glen-L Fancy Free design and sent us along some photos of the one he built himself.

Regarding our ongoing conversation on “Shifting to Power,” reader Kent Linzy adds the following:
I am a sailor and I'm known to sail my 25-foot sail boat out of my slip, around the lake, and back into my slip without starting my motor. I also own a 16-foot aluminum fishing boat with a 30 horse power outboard. They both have their place. I also own a Potter 15. I live in Oklahoma and sail on a local lake, but love to vacation in South Florida. I motored my Potter in the river and canals of Fort Lauderdale, and the canal at Flamingo (Everglades National Park). On the next trip I took the 15-foot powerboat and added an adventure in the Louisiana swamp as well as South Florida. They were both good trips but the power boat was Best for those adventures. Hoping that the next trip will be in a Nimble 20 from Key Largo to Key West. I am still a sailor.
