A Family-Owned Boat Building Company Produces a Classic Family Cruiser.
The Ohio Clarks got into sailing just like so many of us—on a whim. Bob came home one day and announced to Coral he’d bought a sailboat. Coral, originally from North Dakota, responded, “What’s a sailboat?”
Without any experience or training the Clarks dropped the boat in at the Toledo Yacht Club and set about to become sailors. Coral wrote that they capsized so often they were jokingly referred to as the “Splash Clarks.” But the same dedication and perseverance that ultimately led to their success in business prevailed, and they soon became proficient sailors.
